Career services

Career readiness, built into the curriculum.

Potentially is the career readiness platform for college and university career centers. Your programs, events and awards run inside the courses students already open, and what students do there becomes a profile that shows an employer what they can do.

The challenge

Career readiness for every student, from the first semester.

Your center already reaches the students who come to you. Potentially extends that reach into the courses every student takes, makes their skills visible, and lets you run programs campus-wide without adding staff time for each student.

Reach Reach every student.

Career readiness placed inside the courses students take, so first-years meet it in their first semester. What each student sees is personalized to them.

Evidence Help students tell their skills story.

Students track how their skills develop, describe them in their own words, and show employers the evidence behind each one. When any résumé can be polished by AI, the evidence is what stands out.

Scale Run your center at scale.

Events, appointments, programs, awards and badges in one place, with automation doing the checking and analytics showing where to act.

NACE competencies

Mapped to the NACE competencies from day one.

Insight Compass comes with a ready-made self-assessment built on the eight NACE career readiness competencies. Students complete it inside Canvas, D2L Brightspace, Blackboard or Moodle and get a personalized report with a next step from your own programs. Supervisors, mentors and peers can add 360 feedback, so students see where their own view and an observer’s differ. Your center sees readiness by school and class year, and how it moves when students take the assessment again.

Four phases

Career readiness happens in four phases. We support students and your center through each one.

Not an event in senior year, but four years of small steps, most of them inside the course.

  1. A first-year student at a desk with headphones round her neck.
Not yet sure what to pursue. Decide.

A strengths and values self-assessment in a first-year course, a first reflection, a first event booked.

Your center seesWho is still deciding, by school and class year.

  2. A student looking ahead thoughtfully in a study space.
Knows the direction, needs the experience. Plan.

Programs, workshops, mentoring and internship preparation, with award criteria tracked as students go.

Your center seesHow far each class has moved, and where programming is thin.

  3. A student smiling at a laptop, ready to apply.
    Ready to apply. Compete.

Résumé review, interview practice, and a Skills Brief for each role: the student pastes in the job posting and gets a document matching its requirements to their evidence. Badges shared to LinkedIn.

Your center seesReadiness by school and class year before the deadline, not after.

  4. A graduate in a workplace.
A job, graduate school or a venture confirmed. Placed.

The profile belongs to the graduate, and every skill still links to the work behind it. Employers open it by link or QR code, without an account.

For your team

The tools your center runs every day.

Everything a career center schedules, builds and recognizes, in one place, and every action lands on the same student record.

Run the center
Events and appointments

Talks, workshops, drop-ins and one-on-ones, with capacity, waitlists and check-in that verifies attendance.

Program builder

Build programs from self-assessments, events, content and reflection, and place them in any course on campus.

Awards and badges

Set your own criteria for bronze, silver and gold. Progress is tracked automatically, and Open Badges issue the moment a student qualifies.

Readiness assessments

NACE-aligned self-assessments and 360 feedback, built with Insight Compass. See the NACE assessment →

Internships and experiential learning

Learning agreements, weekly reflection and supervisor feedback requested by email, with no supervisor account needed.

Résumé review

Students submit a résumé, advisers return comments and a next step, and every review joins the student’s record.

Alongside your job platform

Potentially sits alongside your job platform, not in place of it.

Your job platform handles postings, employers and applications. Potentially adds the readiness layer underneath: the programs, assessments, awards and evidence that get students ready to apply. Your team keeps the tools it knows, and students arrive at their applications with something to show.

The difference

What changes for students and your center.

Students and staff talking around a table.
Students
  • One record of what they have done, which stays theirs after they graduate.
  • Advice that starts from their own evidence.
Your career center
  • Reach across every school, and readiness data by school and class year.
  • One framework, so a skill means the same thing campus-wide.
